The Sun is actually pure white, not yellow
We draw the Sun as bright yellow, but seen from outer space, it shines pure white. The Sun emits light across all wavelengths of the visible spectrum. When sunlight enters Earth's atmosphere, shorter blue wavelengths scatter easily in all directions via Rayleigh scattering. With that blue light scattered across the sky, the direct beam of sunlight reaching our eyes is depleted of cooler tones, causing our star to take on its familiar yellow appearance on Earth.
